Keating Residence Interior
Torquay, Victoria, Australia, 2014. These clients had seen some interior stonework I had done for another client and had me quote on this feature wall a year before construction was to take place. Their construction was delayed but fortunately I was back in Australia at the right time and was finally able to create the feature wall they had envisioned. The combination of the silver grey stone within the framework of recycled timber posts created the natural and earthy touch they were after in their otherwise minimalistic modern home. The careful selection of stones created a supposedly 'random' arrangement but with enough horizontal lines to maintain balance and order. It is the feature of this home. Following the success of this wall, I was asked to return six months later when I was again in Australia to complete the external feature stone works.
